A little about me...

First and foremost - I love Jesus.  He has saved me from myself and a lifetime of hurt by giving me a grace and love that I have never known.  In turn, I choose to love Him with all of my heart.

My husband and I have known each other since 2010.  We have a special love and we are best friends.  We can do anything and everything together and we prefer it that way.

I received my B.A. in Christian Theology in 2003 from Seattle Pacific University (which doesn't mean I know anything) and my M.A. in Teaching in 2006, after 3 years in corporate business world.  I started writing years ago about all things Jesus because I felt like the Gospel was and is so accessible to everyone, but everyone doesn't always think so!  My blog was not meant to go "deep" into theological understandings, but to give people a chance to slow down for a few minutes to be encouraged and to be prompted to want to study more!

I have done a lot of fun stuff in my life because adventure is my middle name and I am in for trying almost anything at least once.  A few of my crazy adventures are below:

*Practiced martial arts years ago, 6 days a week, 4-6 hours a day

*Had to be rescued surfing

*Got lost skiing in Whistler by myself, on a double black diamond, and had to search for hours for help - ended up miles from the resort somehow.

*Doing mission work in San Francisco, I spent the day as a homeless person just to see what it was like...it was quite an experience!

*I've traveled to 5 of the 7 continents, all kinds of countries

*Went backpacking for a month, by myself, in New Zealand

*Met my husband in Haiti in an orphanage (I was living in Seattle and he was living in Chattanooga - we were both there doing missions)

*Once got my CDL license and drove a school bus full of high school students from Seattle to Tijuana, Mexico - then drove the school bus all over Tijuana doing mission work - only got lost once, by myself, driving a big yellow bus - that was an interesting adventure!

I am simply a ragamuffin who loves Jesus and has a LOT to learn.  I don't profess to be a Biblical scholar by any means, but I do love to study and write about my faith journey!  Hope you can find some encouragement in my ramblings!
