incorruptible love...

"Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love." Ephesians 6:24 incorruptible. 1. not susceptible to corruption, especially to bribery a. synonyms: honest, honorable, trustworthy, moral, ethical, good, virtuous. 2. not subject to death or decay, everlasting a. synonyms: imperishable, indestructible, indissoluble, enduring I couldn't stop reading this verse last night... Rather, those two words...incorruptible love. I had to reread them this morning. Something just penetrated my heart when I read those words. Feelings of joy, sadness, hurt, hope and desire filled the innermost part of my soul. Our love to Christ is not acceptable unless it is in full sincerity. We can say we love, but do we love without corruption? Can we even know what the true meaning of incorruptible love is on this earth? We fail in loving strangers, we fail in loving our spouses, we fail in loving our friends, we fail in loving the Lord with an incorruptible love, but that's not the point... The point is His grace covers where man cannot and that was given to us through His incorruptible love for us. Our King of Heaven, Emmanuel, God with us - he found us, he showed us the perfect example of incorruptible love... We must be in pursuit of this kind of love - of giving, of showing, of accepting. Tears have filled my eyes once more - Oh what joy that feeling must be, oh what joy that feeling is when I have found it in my Savior and in my Savior alone - Only then can I give it back.
